Things have been a bit slow going for me … as in my business productivity. I got a new computer last week! But you know along with a new computer comes re-installing everything and for a photographer it also means re-calibrating your system. There were some hang ups which is why this preview hasn’t gone up until now … even though I did the session over a week ago.

Anyway … this was a super session!! Mom originally contacted me for maternity pictures (a new maternity model! yay!) and then decided she wanted her son and daughter’s pictures done as well. So it was basically three sessions in one! Needless to say … I was there for awhile. We had a good time. Mom was incredible. In way better shape at 29 weeks pregnant than I’ve EVER been (still running 5 miles!!). She had an adorable little belly with not a stretch mark in sight. I’m always so jealous of my models. :)

Last Sunday I had the opportunity to photograph these adorable little boys frolicking around the park with mom and dad. The older one, who was just 3, barely stopped moving the entire session … while his little brother just sat quietly and watched. I said they seemed like opposites but mom and dad said they are actually very much alike! The family was so nice and I could tell we could easily be friends.

Something about this session just screamed “black and white!!” to me … so that would be why all of the images in this sneak peek are just that!

Little Tristan is now 9 months old!! I love it when families hire me to do portraits several times in the first year. I get to watch them grow! But then I miss them after its all over. At least thanks to facebook I am able to still see them get bigger!

Anyway … here is Tristan! This time he didn’t burst into tears when he saw me. It’s an improvement. He gets cuter every time I see him!

Seriously. I had a session on Sunday with the cutest family. Now … most families have a little trouble acting natural in front of a camera. I can’t begrudge them … I’m the same way! But this family seemed to just about forget I was there! They were perfect. And with an absurdly beautiful and warm November day to go with it … well it made for a pretty great session!

I got to photograph my buddy Reid! Well this is actually the first year he seemed to not mind that I had the nerve to come take pictures of him. In fact he wanted to take some himself!

This is the fourth year I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Reid. I met him and his mom when he was 2 years old and I was doing some contract work at Janie and Jack. His mom hired me to design some cards for them and the rest is history! Every year since, hugely pregnant or not, I have photographed him and designed cards (last year I was 38 weeks pregnant at the time). Admittedly I don’t do much of the designing since Reid’s mom seems to have been a professional card slogan writer in a past life. Anyway … this year marked Reid as the child I have photographed the longest, and the most times (aside from my own of course).

You can tell from the images that he has quiet a bit of energy! Enjoy!

Niece!

The last time I was out visiting my family near Philadelphia, I photographed my little niece for her 4th birthday! It’s actually been quite awhile since I’ve photographed her … which is sad cause it used to be a pretty regular occurrence. And then I had kids!! But she is a beautiful little girl and always great to photograph.

Well really it was just one model. Or one pregnant model … and two really adorable little girl models.

This session was from last Sunday so I apologize it took me so long to post. My monitor was on the fritz and it needed to be replaced (really can’t complain as I’ve used it through 3 computers now … it was extremely old). So I couldn’t edit because my screen kept turning yellow. And blurry. Not so good.

But all is well now and I have a brand new, shiny, fancy looking LCD monitor (seriously I had a CRT before … that’s how old it was). And here is my second maternity model and her two stinking cute daughters.

By the way if you are pregnant and interested in being a maternity model please let me know. There’s a free session involved!!

On Wednesday I had a session with little Miss Riley! She was so cute with her big blue eyes. I bet mom and dad get comments on them ALL the time! She did really well until we ran smack into her nap time and she declared the session over. I’m getting spoiled by these little 6 month olds and their hour long sessions!

In this case anyway … I’m glad it wasn’t the third!!

Remember this little guy from three weeks ago?? We had to re-schedule his session because he just wasn’t feeling the love. But on Saturday we met again and he was much more excited about the whole thing! Plus, during those short three weeks he not only perfected sitting, but also learned how to crawl and pull to standing! Watch out mom and dad!!

Little Will was actually quite a bit older than most of my recent customers … at the ripe old age of 3. Just barely 3. He was such a trooper for his portraits! He had a blast both posing and running around rocks and playing peek-a-boo with me. He made me wish I got the opportunity to photograph 3 year olds more often! Here is little Will’s little sneak peek.
